The authors described the concept of Value-Based Supply. This second White Paper looks in more detail at the opportunities and importance of digitalisation within companies and also their supply chain to increase value for the organisation and also the end user.
Value-Based Supply: Dynamic competencies and the power of digital transformation explores how MedTech companies can be a catalyst for Value-Based Health Care (VBHC) through their use of digital technologies: enabling resources to be disinvested from internal activities of low value and in unwarranted variation and allocating the resources released to invest in higher value interventions within the business itself, thus creating added value.
The authors argue that understanding the digitalisation agenda is now essential for all manufacturers and service providers and at every stage of a MedTech supply chain if they are to prosper in a Value-Based world and support the achievement of better outcomes for patients within sustainable health systems.
