Tackling Wasteful Spending on Health

This report takes a systematic approach to: i) identifying ineffective and wasteful activities within health care systems; ii) analysing their causes and the actors involved; and iii) providing a catalogue of suitable countermeasures. Clinical, operational and governance-related waste is identified, along with opportunities to release resources for better care services, by capitalizing on the significant savings and moving towards a value-based health care system.
