Procurement: the unexpected driver of value-based health care

This report outlines how value-based healthcare (VBHC) can address two threatening problems for the healthcare systems, the significant variation in patients outcomes and spiraling costs. A new Framework is needed to enable smart procurement decisions with a holistic perspective that considers patient outcomes in relation to the total cost of care services.
