Value-Based Health and Care (VBHC) Academy launched at Swansea University

19 May 2021

The European Alliance for Value in Health is very proud to see that its affiliated organisation, the Value-Based Health and Care (VBHC) Academy at Swansea University has been formally launched. It is the first of its kind, globally, dedicated to supporting leaders and organisations from health, social care and the life-science sector in the successful adoption of VBHC. The Academy works alongside the national Value in Health Programme in Wales, a World Economic Forum Global Innovator Hub.

Aimed at leaders and aspiring leaders, the Academy offers a range of options - all to support the understanding and implementation of VBHC:

  • Academic courses (MSc and DBA)
  • Short, executive education courses
  • Research opportunities
  • Bespoke consultancy services

As affordability challenges health and social care systems across the world, the focus on delivering greater value (the outcomes that matter most to people, at the lowest possible cost) becomes increasingly critical. Drawing upon global industry and academic expertise in VBHC, the Academy’s education programmes will support leaders in understanding the importance and long-term impact of VBHC, in addition to providing practical advice for adopting VBHC into their individual organisations.
